Most Relaxing Classical Piano Music in the Universe Customer Review: Relaxing Music?
I was hoping to find some nice calming, relaxing music to play in my classroom and home. This was a little too instrumentally loud.
Customer Review: Awesome, Relaxing, Great Music

Customer Review: Nice Variety in Jazz
This is a great sampler of a variety of jazz styles by some reknowned artists. The quality of Blu-Ray HD video is excellent. Overall this is the kind of DVD you’d want to watch over and over again!
Customer Review: Music Concert
Good selection of artists, although concert or show is quite short, expected a longer presentation …overall it is a good concert
Blue Train
Tuesday, March 31st, 2009
Blue Train The tenor sax giant had signed with another label when he embarked on this one-off date for Blue Note, an excursion that paid off with an enduring modern jazz masterpiece. Boasting volley after volley of smart soloing and intuitively swinging rhythm work, Blue Train is a joy, from the coolly precise ensemble entry on the opening title piece through the set’s balance of elegant hard bop conversations and smooth downshifts into ballads. John Coltrane wrote four originals for the date, all of them now regarded as standards, and assembled a rhythm section including pianist Kenny Drew, Miles Davis’s rhythm section of bassist Paul Chambers and drummer Philly Joe Jones, and trumpeter Lee Morgan and trombonist Curtis Fuller, both recent Blue Note recruits. Coltrane’s signature sound, now fully developed but still hewing more to familiar blues and chromatic harmonies than his later modalities, is confident and expansive, and his partners respond vividly throughout. –Sam Sutherland
Customer Review: oh… Now I get it
I love music. Any kind that is well done is worth a listen. My ears or mind or whatever have taken a long time for this album to hit home. Actually that’s true for most jazz. So if you are a novice like me and are thinking of getting this. Do it! Now don’t wait another moment. I heard this and remembered this was released 52 years ago. Coltrane was ahead of his time… hell he’s STILL ahead of his time.
Customer Review: Probably the best introduction to Coltrane
I think this 1957 album is probably the best introduction to Coltrane for those who are either new to jazz or have not yet heard any of Coltrane’s other albums. It is one of the earliest albums recorded under his leadership and mostly features tunes that he wrote. While Coltrane was already beginning to extend the possibilities of the saxophone in many ways, the numbers on this album are all quite accessible to anyone likely to appreciate modern Jazz (Bebop, Hard-Bop, etc.).

Songs 4 Worship: Country Customer Review: Wonderful Music!
I really enjoy this CD. I sing along with most of the songs and feel like I’m worshiping in my own home.
Customer Review: Good album
During one Sunday afternoon, I had the television on to CMT watching the top 20 songs when the infomercial for this album came on. While I love all of the songs, I will say that I am not crazy about all of the country updates. Overall, I would buy the album again because there are enough songs that I enjoy that would entice me to be interested in purchasing it.
Shackles - Instructional Dance Video in Hip-Hop Style
Tuesday, March 31st, 2009
Shackles - Instructional Dance Video in Hip-Hop Style As performed at the International Worship Institute 2002 in Dallas Texas and Worship in the Valley 2003 in Knoxville Tennessee this energetic hip-hop worship dance breaks spiritual chains releases freedom and is an excellent worship service “opener” as well as a performing piece. It has shown time after time to release people into freedom in praise and worship. Shackles can be performed as a solo or a group dance. This video features the full dance performed live by twelve dancers aged 11 - 46 followed by a step-by-step studio instruction System Requirements:Run Time: 53 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: HEALTH/FITNESS/DANCE UPC: 089148000295 Manufacturer No: WSD002
Customer Review: Disappointed
Probably a good video for an introduction to hip-hop styles of dance. But the instruction and the dance itself were sub-par. There are other hip-hop instructional videos that are of a much higher quality.
Customer Review: Simple & Powerful
Shakles the song is fantastic. The video is perfect for the person who has little dance experience and wants a way to praise God. If you are an experienced dancer you may find this too simple & corny. Our youth group loves it, the teens are picking it up fast and having fun with it.
Streets Of Fire: A Rock & Roll Fable (1984 Film)
Tuesday, March 31st, 2009
Streets Of Fire: A Rock & Roll Fable (1984 Film) The film soundtrack that acted as the vehicle to promote the late Dan Hartman’s last hit single ‘I Can Dream About You’ as well as The Fixx’s ‘Deeper And Deeper’, plus tracks from Marilyn Martin, Greg Phillinganes, Maria McKee, Ry Cooder, The Blasters and more.
Customer Review: streets of fire
i saw this movie years ago and i still enjoy it. i have shared it with my friends and they also enjoyed it.
Customer Review: Visually wonderful.
The cinematography is beautiful. The rest is fun and campy in an odd way. Not exactly a serious story. I liked the music a lot, but it doesn’t hold me the way the visuals do after repeated viewings. Rockers who have never seen it before love it. It is a neat and unusual movie.

Symphony (25) Favorites Customer Review: A Grand symphonic adventure
This album provides a quick exposure to some of the best movements in the best symphonies. Many of the tracks will sound familiar. They are played well and have good sound quality.
As a novice musician, i have great appreciation for it.
Jazz Icons: Series 3 Box Set (8 DVDs)
Monday, March 30th, 2009
Jazz Icons: Series 3 Box Set (8 DVDs) **Exclusive Bonus Disc** Sonny Rollins: This collection includes two Sonny Rollins 1959 European concerts in which he is accompanied by recently re-discovered bassist Henry Grimes. Rahsaan Roland Kirk: performs Oliver Nelson’s Stolen Moments backed by a cream-of-the-crop European rhythm section consisting of drummer Daniel Humair, pianist George Gruntz, and bassist Guy Pedersen.
A super-modest Sonny Rollins is interviewed in Stockholm 1959 before he performs Ellington’s It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing at a blistering tempo with bebop-era standout Joe Harris on drums and Henry Grimes on bass.
Nina Simone: This collection includes a no-holds-barred Nina Simone live performance of Mississippi Goddamn followed by an interview with the Swedish program host. Features a 12 page booklet with liner notes by Ashley Khan, John Kruth and Rob Bowman.
Customer Review: Priceless!
I own and treasure all three of the Jazz Icons box sets. They are an important part of the recorded legacy of many of the greatest jazz musicians who lived in the last half of the 20th century. These are programs recorded by European broadcasters while these major jazz artists were on tour in Europe with their working bands. The musicians were “up” for it, and so were the broadcasters. The quality of the music, the sound, and the video production are all excellent given the technology available they were recorded.
Blue Lights on the Runway
Monday, March 30th, 2009
Blue Lights on the Runway After critical raves, three national tours and multiple late-night TV bookings surrounding their break out album Flock, Irish band Bell X1 is back with the ambitious and cutting Blue Lights on the Runway. Their second album on Yep Roc records, BLOTR belies a synth-based metamorphosis for the group Paste Magazine called ‘one of Ireland’s greatest bands.’ The central creative trio of Paul Noonan, Dave Geraghty and Dominic Phillips retained the melody-focused approach of their first album but expanded their sound through the addition of glitchy electronic nuances (’The Ribs of a Broken Umbrella’) crunching, prominent guitars (’Breastfed’) and glittery art pop (’The Great Defector’). Noonan’s gorgeous ballad ‘The Light Catches Your Face’ anchors the work, exemplifying the emotional gamut fans have come to expect from the versatile rockers. Touring, licensing and the excitement of their now legendary rabid fans are sure to combine for an even greater swell of success for Bell X1 in 2009. Quite literally, Blue Lights on the Runway will make the take-off of a long, rich career.
Customer Review: Bell X1 crash on Runway
As someone who really liked Bell X1’s previous album, I downloaded this (legally) as soon as it came out. Now I wish I could have those downloads back. “Blue Lights On the Runway” is pure adult contemporary schlock. Perfect for folks who find Snow Patrol too pensive and brooding or Coldplay too loud. Chances are good that a track or two from “Blue Lights” will end up on Grey’s Anatomy, unjustly propelling its success.
Customer Review: Now introducing America to Bell X1
They have done it. They topped Flock and now they will top the US market. It may take a song on a hit drama show, but America should get ready to meet Bell X1. I downloaded it the morning it came out and have not stopped lisenting to it. I am literally sitting in my cubical at work listening to it and wanting to just jump up and start jamin to songs like The Great Defector, Better Band, and The Ribs of a Broken Umbrella. Then chill to the songs like Light Catches Your Face.
The lyrics as usual are classic and one of a kind.
They have the ability to be the new version of The Talking Heads, without all of David Byrnes wackiness.
Great Job!!!
